Experience, Compassion & Exceptional Service
My name is Helen Scheller and the law is in my blood. My grandfather, Arthur M. Scheller, was a Judge in Waupaca County Wisconsin. My father, Arthur M. Scheller Jr., was an esteemed law professor and practicing attorney. I became the first one of my seven siblings to become a lawyer. Subsequently, my four brothers pursued law degrees and have become accomplished attorneys. I graduated magna cum laude from St. Norbert College in 1980 and graduated cum laude from the John Marshall Law School in 1984.
I learned from my father that putting my clients and their families first is the most important value a lawyer can possess, together with ethics, honesty and integrity. Unlike a majority of firms, you will deal directly with me rather than through an associate, paralegal or an administrative assistant. I pride myself on promptly responding to all calls, emails, texts, and other forms of communication within 24 hours but normally sooner. I am well organized, efficient and provide excellent work and service.
While continuing to practice law, I followed a call to serve others as a chaplain and received a Masters in Divinity in 2013 from the Catholic Theological Union. I subsequently became a board certified Catholic chaplain and worked primarily in hospice. I believe the skills I learned as a chaplain, including compassion and presence, further enhanced my skills as a lawyer. I decided to return to law full time in 2018 as the lawyer in me never left.
